Standing in tribhanga (the Indian term for contrapposto) on a double lotus base, and probably depicting Parvati, the wife of Shiva and the female Hindu deity of power, motherhood and harmony, the figure wearing an intricately patterned dhoti, a beaded belt, and ornate crown with matching folate designs, her left hand holding a sprig of lotus, the face pristine with a gentle smile. Wood base inlaid with bone.
