The cup is finely potted with thin, rounded sides tapering to a flaring rim, supported on a short foot. Deliberately decorated on the exterior with grisaille roosters and insects amongst blooming flowers, having iron red and blue enamel highlights. With a six character Chenghua mark in blue to the base.
