In 1963, an important Georges Mathieu exhibition took place at Dominion Gallery in Montreal. The collaboration between Georges Mathieu and Max Stern would last 30 years. This work was gifted by Mathieu to Gilles Gauvreau who worked at Dominion Gallery.
