With hands in vitarka mudra (the gesture of teaching) and seated in padmasana (lotus position) on a two-tiered lotus base, the Historical Buddha wearing low flowing robes with incised patterns of coins and leaves, the chest and right arm exposed while the head with downcast eyes, fleshy earlobes and gentle smile, the hair with high top knot painted blue.
