PROVENANCE
Acquired directly from the Artist by the present Private Collection, Vancouver

Ted Harrison painted the three acrylic on paper works in this auction for a series of art cards which were produced by the now-closed Canadian Art Connections (later renamed Full Circle Studios Arts). They were also reproduced in calendars and made into posters and sold in galleries and museums throughout BC and Canada.

On verso of the work is a written description by Harrison:

"The coastal area of Alaska-Yukon is mountainous and wild. Only the eagles accompany the lonely traveler. Here nature overwhelms the individual giving peace and a link with greater worlds."

Consignor proceeds from the sale of this work will be donated to benefit the Vancouver Sun Children's Fund and the Sir Charles Tupper Secondary School Theatre Renovation Project.
