Comments on Condition
The basin has an old professional restoration at 11 o’clock where a ‘U’ shaped loss that is 1 inch high and 3 ¼ inches wide has been restuck with cement. The rest of the basin is in good condition. There is typical surface wear including minor scratches. Areas of the scalloped edge have glaze fritting from the firing. The interior well has some areas of glaze loss from the firing as including mainly at the vertical interior edge 5 o’clock. The base is finely polished and with some areas of kiln firing bursts and old scratches.
