Notes on Material
Many of the aspects noted in this condition report are suspected to be inherent to the nature of the work's creation process. We are led to believe that the cracking and chipping of paint off of this work is likely due to the heavy weight of the work and the canoe's supporting board. Given the pattern noticed from the series of abrasions, it is likely that this work has undergone a fair amount of surface contact either through movement within the artist's studio or during transport.
