Tania Poggione
Tania Poggione serves as Director and Senior Fine Art Specialist, focusing on management of the Montreal division, appraisals, consignments, sales and business development. She joined Heffel in 2005.
Her eighteen year tenure in the art market at Heffel makes Tania a key member of the national team in maintaining the company's pre-eminent position. Tania specializes in Canadian, Quebec, Indigenous and international art. She is responsible for valuations of private, public and corporate collections, art brokerage and is a seasoned and trusted advisor to clients, collectors, estates, collaborators and institutions. Since 2019, she leads the national representation of the contemporary indigenous artist Barry Ace.
Prior to joining Heffel, she worked at the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa. She gained international experience while interning in Carthage, Tunisia, under the auspices of UNESCO, and working in France in the cultural sector.
Tania holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classical and Ancient Studies from the University of Ottawa, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University in Montreal.
Tania in a Member of the International Society of Appraisers having completed the ISA Core Course in Appraisal Studies and being educated in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
Tania is trilingual (French, English and Italian) and acts as Heffel’s spokesperson for French media.
