Rebecca Rykiss

Rebecca joined the Heffel team in 2015 and brings a diverse range of skills and experience to her role, where she serves as the National Director of Brand & Communications, and a Consignment Specialist in our Toronto office.

Rebecca’s dual role in communications and consignments allows her to approach the promotion of Heffel's offerings from multiple angles, contributing to the company's strong presence in the global art market. With a background in Public Relations representing national and global consumer brands, Rebecca’s abilities have helped amplify Heffel’s major news and initiatives, and implement strategic communication strategies. Within Heffel, Rebecca also manages the company’s media relations, branding and social media activity, ensuring that Heffel maintains an active, streamlined and compelling public presence. She also serves on the Heffel Foundation committee, helping to manage sponsorship activity, further contributing to visibility and engagement in the community.

As a Consignment Specialist, Rebecca works with collectors across the world to help find new homes for their cherished artworks, and help build the catalogues for Heffel’s ongoing live and online auctions. She is very proud to have played a key role in bringing to market masterworks by Alex Colville, Lawren Harris, Tom Thomson, Emily Carr, Andy Warhol, Kenneth Noland and many other important artists. Rebecca thoroughly enjoys fostering relationships with collectors and learning about how their special artworks have brought them joy.

Driven by her passion for art and her extensive experience, Rebecca utilizes her skills to showcase Heffel’s stellar reputation both locally and globally, and help collectors and their paintings continue their journeys.
