Carved in the round with two tones and a high relief depiction of three young boys setting off a single firework in an elaborate garden setting containing fences, pine trees and large stones, the rim and base mounted in wood to stabilize the brushpot.
Albert Earnest Newberry was the owner of Newberry Antiques, a popular antique store on Fort Street in Victoria from the 1940s to the late 1960s.
