PROVENANCE
A Distinguished Private Collection, Vancouver
The body of globular form, tapering to a slightly splayed foot and surmounted by a waisted neck. Featuring a peony and a chrysanthemum panel on each side, reserved on a burgundy ground decorated with densely painted scrolling flowers. All under a “wrapping cloth" (baofu) design moulded in slight relief, in a light green colour adorned with pink floral roundels. The term “baofu” is a wordplay on “wrapping up good luck.” The base with a six character Qianlong mark in red.
