The figures depicted in this work are Ernest Hemingway, Muddy Waters, Glenn Gould and Alice McClarity. The souvenir pin suspended from the end of the movable arm is from the pioneering Canadian noise group Nihilist Spasm Band, which the artist has performed with for over fifty years.
